Job Brief:
We are looking for a motivated and eager-to-learn Data Scientist/ Machine Learning Intern with a strong interest in Large Language Models (LLMs) and classical machine learning techniques. In this internship, you will work closely with experienced engineers to design, develop, and deploy innovative AI solutions, leveraging both LLMs and traditional machine learning algorithms. You will contribute to cutting-edge projects, gaining hands-on experience in applying machine learning to real-world challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
LLM Development and Experimentation:
- Assist in designing, developing, and fine-tuning Large Language Models for tasks such as text generation, question answering, and dialogue systems.
- Support the implementation and optimization of LLM pipelines to ensure scalability and efficiency.
- Explore open-source LLMs (e.g., GPT, BERT) and assist in identifying the best models for different use cases.
- Stay updated on the latest research in LLMs and contribute to improving existing models.
Classical Machine Learning:
- Apply classical machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering) to assist in solving tasks that don’t require LLMs.
- Work on feature engineering and data preprocessing techniques to improve model performance.
- Compare the performance of various machine learning models, including LLMs and classical algorithms, and help with model selection.
Collaboration and Learning:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and software engineers, to help integrate AI solutions into various products and services.
- Learn from experienced engineers, receive mentorship, and contribute to AI best practices and standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Data Sciences, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
Skills:
- Strong foundational knowledge of machine learning algorithms and concepts.
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and libraries related to NLP (e.g., Hugging Face, spaCy, NLTK).
- Some experience or understanding of LLM architectures, training techniques, and NLP tasks.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Eagerness to learn and stay updated on the latest advancements in AI and machine learning.
Bonus Points:
- Experience or coursework related to NLP, machine learning, or deep learning.
- Interest in contributing to open-source machine learning projects.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
