We are looking for a Data Analyst with 0-6 months experience. This role will contribute within the evolving landscape of the Data Lake platform, working alongside the Data Teams to orchestrate and facilitate reliable delivery of data to the business. You will work alongside the Data Engineering team, Infrastructure, Data analytics & Science teams.This role provides a unique opportunity to grow in the field of data engineering and analytics, with a focus on leveraging Big Data technologies to drive impactful solutions in the telecommunications industry.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data engineering solutions.
- Clean, transform, and validate data for integrity and accuracy.
- Develop reports and dashboards using tools such as Excel, or Power BI to visualize findings.
- Work with data pipelines on a Big Data platform to process, transform, and analyze data for a telecommunications organization.
- Assist in designing and implementing data workflows and automating data extraction processes.
- Actively contribute to process improvement and innovation in analytics and data engineering practices.
- Implement and adhere to data quality and governance standards, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues by applying best practices in data governance.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and Big Data.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in data engineering and analytics, particularly on Big Data platforms.
- Self-starter with a high level of motivation and drive to excel in a dynamic environment.
- Basic proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Familiarity with at least one programming language, such as Python for data manipulation and analysis.
- Understanding of data visualization tools like Power BI, or similar platform is a plus but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt quickly to new tools, technologies, and challenges.
This is a 6-month contractual opportunity leading to job based on performance.
