Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Coordinator in the Department of Biological and Biomedical Sciences.
Responsibilities:
- Providing administrative support to faculty in conducting teaching sessions for the undergraduate medical education program and the department’s MPhil in Biological and Biomedical Sciences program
- Maintaining the department’s social media presence, keeping the BBS portion of the AKU webpage updated, and liaising with the Medical College Communications Team
- Providing assistance with ensuring compliance with PM&DC and other regulatory authorities
- Assisting faculty in coordinating day-to-day operational and administrative activities
- Providing support to the department’s Grants Management Unit, from the acquisition of new grants to the management and closeout of ongoing grants
- Drafting letters, emails and memoranda, formatting of documents, preparing PowerPoint presentations, scheduling meetings, taking minutes
- Providing support for mailing, photocopying, scanning/printing documents, and setting-up laptop multimedia
- Assisting the department with organizing events/workshops/symposium/seminars.
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:
You should have:
- A minimum of an MBA degree in business administration or related field
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in administrative work
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English
