About the role
As a Commercials Lead, you'll be ensuring end-to-end stock availability through demand forecasting, order placement, and inventory management. It involves optimizing margins, implementing pricing strategies, supplier negotiations, and collaborating with teams to address challenges and forecast demand.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensuring End-to-End Category Stock Availability will be a major contribution of yours.
- Forecasting demand and placing orders based on run rates to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Perform invoice matching with purchase orders from suppliers to verify accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain updated product information, including grammages of SKUs, to ensure accurate inventory records.
- Check Goods Receipt Note (GRN) and initiate payment requests to the finance department.
- Ensure the best pricing strategies and ensure that price aligns with target margins and profitability goals.
- Make necessary adjustments to Trade Allowance (Trade Offer) to optimize margins.
- Collaborate with the Growth team (on ground team) to address challenges and support efforts to achieve targets.
- Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers to create mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Manage Material Resource Planning (MRP) and address last-mile damage issues.
- Analyze historical data trends to identify issues and forecast seasonal demand fluctuations.
- Conduct field visits to gather ground-level feedback for more efficient customer base management.
- Handle other miscellaneous tasks as required.
You must have
- A bachelors degree
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Proficiency in data analysis and Microsoft Excel
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Retail Market knowledge and supplier relationship management experience is a plus
Bonus Points if you have
- A strong supplier network in retail ecosystem
- Strong command on data analytics, SQl and visualization tools
- Prior knowledge of commercial operations.
