Client Overview:

Job Purpose:


The Chef specializing in Italian or Chinese cuisine will be responsible for preparing and creating authentic dishes that meet the highest standards of taste, presentation, and quality. The role requires a deep understanding of Italian or Chinese cooking techniques and ingredients. The Chef will also oversee the kitchen operations, maintain food safety standards, and work closely with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient service.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and cook authentic Italian or Chinese dishes to the highest quality.
  • Develop new menu items and specials that align with the restaurant's vision and culinary style.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including maintaining cleanliness, inventory, and hygiene standards.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient and timely food preparation.
  • Ensure all dishes are cooked according to the restaurants standards and customer preferences.
  • Maintain stock levels and liaise with suppliers for fresh ingredients.
  • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in preparing dishes and maintaining kitchen safety.
  • Monitor food costs and portion control to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a professional kitchen, specializing in Italian or Chinese cuisine.
  • Proven expertise in Italian or Chinese cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and ingredients.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
  • Culinary diploma or relevant certifications (preferred).
