Open Position: Category Manager:
Key Roles and responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning: Understanding and implementing a category strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
a. Annual Forecast (SKU Wise/ Channel Wise)
b. Monthly rolling forecasts
c. Future SKUs potential
d. Maps current distribution structure Category Distribution coverage requirements
e. SKUs locking (for Consumer and Bulk)
f. Pricing
2. Drive Sales volume across MT, GT and Whole Sale and Bulk
a. Plan for which channels to sell from
b. Plan for Trade Spent for each channel
c. Lead negotiations at DMTs with NKAM
d. Drives deals in Whole Sale and Beverages Depots along with Field Team
e. Identifies opportunities and aligns field Team for execution. Works with where needed
f. Set and drive retail coverage KPIs
3. Watch full Trade Spent
a. Custodian of Trade Spent for Beverages Category; Spending to drive volumes while maintaining profitability.
b. Builds and drives JBP Plans for MT.
c. Builds and drives TOs for GT.
d. Builds and drives deals plans for WS.
e. Market analysis of competition Trade and Pricing activities and adjusting Trade Offers and execution strategies likewise.
4. Integrates Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain functions to drive business volumes
a. Alignment of Trade and Sales activities with Marketing activities
b. Coordination with brand manager for the promotion to drive numbers
c. Alignment of Coverage Strategy with Field Sales to ensure effective coverage of targeted markets
d. Shares 12 Months SKU wise rolling forecast with supply chain and ensures MAD within targets.
5. Financial Management: Managing the financial performance of the category, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
a. Manage the financial performance of the category, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
b. Analyze the profitability of different Beverages products and pricing tiers.
6. Customer Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers and understanding their needs.
a. Build strong relationships with key customers, including retailers, distributors, and wholesalers.
b. Gather customer feedback and insights to tailor the Beverages assortment and pricing.
7. Innovation: Identifying opportunities for product innovation and staying ahead of industry trends.
a. New products/ SKUs; based on Consumer and Industrial Needs.
Requirements:
Education: MBA from one of the top institutes based in Karachi.
Experience: 12+ years in FMCG and 5+ years must have in Beverages industry at ZM/ RSM level.
Technical Competencies:
Distribution knowledge and dynamics,Channel knowledge - its dynamics and management,LMT Negotiation,Beverages Depots Understanding,Forecasting,Business acumen,
Budgeting,Consultative Selling,Customer focus,Inventory management,Opex. management skills,Timeliness.
