Job Purpose:
The role will be a part of the Close and Control (C&C) Global Process Owner (GPO) Blackline Center of Excellence (COE) team located in Finance Hub. The role will have two dimensions:
60%-75% of time being Blackline Finance Regional Expert
25%-40% of time being person of contact between Finance Operations Hub and C&C GPO
Primarily, the focus is on day-to-day support and optimization of existing Blackline functionalities from Finance perspective. You will be responsible to provide product expertise, knowledge and support in the areas of Manual Journals, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Compliance (Controls) and Close to all business users located in Karachi MEA Hub and help GSK to elevate the business processes to next level.
Secondly, the focus will be on collecting feedback and local needs to support implementation of C&C’s projects, process standardization & harmonization. Jointly with the rest of C&C GPO team you will be responsible for local dimension of proposed changes, ensuring localization is best leveraged for deployment.
The role will cooperate closely with the local Finance HUB’s C&C team, C&C GPO, GP&T, Risk & Compliance and other business and support functions.
Role description:
Perform trouble shooting for system issues
Monitor and optimize system for best performance
Maintain local configurations for all modules in the system.
Ensure policies are adhered in the system
Ensure sufficient system controls checks are performed at regular intervals
Leverage system functionalities, identify and implement process improvement
Provide tool expertise for system modules of Manual Journals, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Compliance (Controls) and Close
Liaise with C&C GPO to understand the business requirements and implement changes in Blackline
Support business development projects to properly leverage Blackline’s modules
Lead/support Blackline modules’ deployments across organization
Analyze & improve processes in the scope of C&C
Make local footprint of C&C GPO organization and support HUB’s related deliverables of global projects
Basic requirements:
Master’s degree in Finance/Finance Analysis or other similar
Experience in Blackline environment (System admin, Super User, Key User)
Experience in R2R/controlling processes
Fluent English (minimum C1)
Knowledge of MS Office tools (especially MS Excel)
Knowledge of SAP and supporting components
Preferred additional requirements:
Continuous improvement mindset, problem-solving
Project framework certification would be an asset (PMI, Prince, Agile)
Experience in root cause analysis
Experience in a SOX/audit environment
Knowledge of SAP ECC, S/4Hana and FC
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work flexibly within a matrix team
Ability to work with multiple stakeholders
Knowledge of systems that allows checking the processes/creating reports/effectively extracting the data
