Business Quality Assurance (BQA) Analyst (Hybrid)

Position: BQA Analyst (Hybrid - Islamabad)

Company Strength: 25 Employees (in office) 50+ Remote Pakistan

Overview: This role will work closely with other team members as well as business units to collect user requirements, document acceptance criteria, create test plans and then execute those plans as a tester.

An ideal candidate will develop good rapport with our users by understanding their requirements and providing optimal solutions to meet their business objectives. By performing comprehensive testing, he/she will help deliver products with a low defect rate and minimal production support costs.

Responsibilities

• Be a competent tester quickly getting up to speed with the application ecosystem and testing each flow and system well.
• Effectively communicate and work with business units, at all levels, to collaborate with the business on enhancements to existing systems and potential new development efforts.
• Establish priorities and continual effective communication of project status and priorities to stakeholders.
• Planning and development of new application systems and features including documenting requirements specifications.
• Must be able to display the ability to perform complex system and business analysis. Ensure that the developments of systems are within scope, budget, objectives, schedules, and resource commitments.
• Develop and document acceptance criteria, test plans and test casts for multiple applications, including but not limited to web, mobile and client based.
• Document and track software failures using the software bug tracking tool established.
• Work with the IT Management Team and/or Project Managers to plan and schedule test cycles
• Provide effective communication (technical and non-technical) with team members in multiple locations.
• Verifying builds for quality prior to production deployment.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in computer related or IT Management field or equivalent related experience is preferred

  
  

• Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills

  
  

• 4+ years experience with quality assurance and business analysis

  
  

• Prior experience in application software testing preferred

  
  

• Experience with Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) a plus

  
  

• Experience in an Agile environment a plus

  
  

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  
  

• Ability to work in a complex, ever changing environment
