Business Intelligence Engineer

Job Brief

We are seeking a passionate and technically proficient Business Intelligence Engineer with 3-6 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Data Visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau, a solid understanding of Data Warehousing, Exploratory Data analysis and a strong desire to learn, present and explore new technologies. This role involves developing and maintaining BI solutions, creating data pipelines, and developing data models and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain BI reports and dashboards using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, AWS Quicksight, and Looker.
• Perform data analysis and exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends and insights that support business objectives.
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data with a strong understanding of data pipelines and dependencies.
• Understand data modeling, transformations, and data warehousing.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity through regular validation, quality checks, and data health checks.  
• Communicate findings through data stories, presentations, and visualizations.
• Ability to handle large volumes of data to design optimized & scalable data warehouses.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong command of SQL; knowledge of Python is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc. (At least one of them).
• Experience with cloud-based BI solutions (e.g., Redshift, GCP, Azure).
• Basic understanding of data warehousing, data marts, slowly changing dimensions (SCDs), and OLAP cubes, multi-dimensional modeling
• A portfolio showcasing work on dashboarding and BI projects is advantageous.
