The role

We are looking for a qualified BIM / CAD specialist to join our team in Lahore, Pakistan. The position entails producing detailed dry utility plans and drawings while guaranteeing precision, adherence, and alignment with project specifications.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in electrical and instrumentation drafting, proficiency in CAD and BIM tools, and a strong focus on quality and precision. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a high-impact project and advance your technical skills.

• Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) for Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems, including power distribution and protection systems.
• Layout Plans and schematics for Lighting & Power Systems, ensuring efficient placement of electrical fixtures, power outlets, and circuit protection.
• Layout Plans and schematics for Telecommunication Systems, covering data and telephone network cabling and equipment placement.
• Security System Layouts, including the arrangement of CCTV cameras, access control devices, and integration with electrical systems.
• Fire Alarm System Layouts and schematics, covering placement of detectors, alarms, and control panels to ensure safety compliance.
• Public Address System Layouts and schematics, detailing speaker placement, amplifiers, microphones, and control equipment for effective sound distribution.
• Riser Diagrams for low-current systems, showing vertical distribution of telecommunication, security, and fire alarm systems.
• Lightning Protection System Layouts to safeguard buildings from lightning strikes through proper grounding and conductor placement.
• Substation Layout Plans, including transformers, busbars, and switchgear for electrical power distribution.
• Understanding of Instrumentation & Control (I&C) System Design.
• Instrumentation Tagging and Loop Diagrams, ensuring correct identification and connection of instruments.

With a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.

Suitable applicants will have/be:

• Tertiary qualifications or a related discipline (e.g. Diploma in Electrical Drafting or similar field)
• 8-10 years of relevant experience in electrical drafting and dry utilities design.
• The candidate shall hold both BIM 3D and CAD 2D experience in electrical Dry Utilities.
• Strong understanding of MV and LV systems, low-current systems, instrumentation, and I&C design principles. 
• Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and convey technical details effectively.
• Familiarity with international electrical design codes and standard.
