The Associate Project Manager will assist in the planning, execution, and closing of software projects across the organization. This role requires foundational knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and a willingness to learn and grow within the project management discipline. The Associate Software Project Manager will support the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager in coordinating resources, managing stakeholders, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.Key Responsibilities:Project Planning Support:- Support the project manager in managing Project scope, changes, deliverables, orgnize and attend project meetings, preparing agendas and capturing action items and MoMs- Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and resource allocation for Waterfall projects.- Support in maintaining the product backlog, sprint planning, and execution for Agile projects.Team Coordination:- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and task execution.- Help facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives in Agile projects.Stakeholder Communication:- Assist in gathering project requirements and providing status updates to internal and external stakeholders.- Participate in project meetings and documentation updates in Waterfall projects.Quality & Process Compliance:- Support the Senior Project Manager in ensuring that quality standards are met through testing and validation processes.Risk Management:- Assist in identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies under the guidance of the Senior Manager.Documentation and Reporting:- Help maintain project documentation for both Agile and Waterfall projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Process Improvement:- Contribute to process improvement initiatives by providing feedback and suggestions.RequirementsSkills: - Strong organizational and time-management skills.- Basic understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) in both Agile and Waterfall contexts.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Attention to details- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.- Eagerness to learn and develop project management skills.Qualification:- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.- 2+ years of experience in software project management.- Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), CSM (Certified ScrumMaster), or equivalent are preferred.
