Associate Information Security Engineer

JOB TITLE: Associate Information Security Engineer

DEPARTMENT: Information Security

REPORTS TO: Team Lead/Project Manager

PURPOSE:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Associate Information Security Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of network security principles and networking technologies, as well as knowledge of ISO 27001 compliance requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required for effective documentation and reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:

• ISO 27001 Compliance Implementation:
  • Participate in the implementation of ISO 27001 information security compliance requirements, ensuring that the organization's policies and procedures meet established standards.
  • Assist in enhancing the organization's security measures and protecting critical information assets.
• Information Security Systems:
  • Perform routine reviews and maintenance of our information security systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with security standards.
  • Help to identify vulnerabilities, enhancing organization's security posture and protecting sensitive data against potential threats.
• Network Monitoring Solutions:
  • Conduct thorough reviews of our network monitoring solutions to assess their effectiveness in detecting and responding to security incidents.
  • Collaborate in enhancing network security infrastructure and optimizing our incident response capabilities.
• Critical Asset Monitoring:
  • Execute reviews of critical asset monitoring systems to ensure optimal visibility and protection of essential organizational resources.
  • Support in identifying vulnerabilities and strengthening overall security posture.
• Collaboration with ISMS and IT Department:
  • Interact with Information Security Management System (ISMS) and IT department to identify and assess potential weak points in the security infrastructure.
• Periodic Security Awareness Sessions:
  • Conduct periodic security awareness sessions to secure knowledge about best practices and emerging threats in information security.
• Security Incident Response:
  • Respond swiftly to security events while conducting thorough investigations to assess and mitigate potential threats.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

• At least Bachelor's degree in CS or related field
• 0-2 years of experience in a similar or information security related role, focusing on network security and networking technologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of ISO27001 compliance requirements.

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
