The Human Development Programme (HDP) aims to support human development through a multidisciplinary and research-based approach. Its initial focus is early childhood, a period of life that lays the foundation for all future learning, development and wellbeing. Applying an integrated approach to education, health, nutrition and stimulation in early years. HDP aims to provide the support needed to promote holistic child development by enhancing physical, cognitive, social and emotional abilities of children to help them become healthy competent individuals participating productively and effectively in their societies.
This is a grant-funded contractual position.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible to:
- assist the project team to create, adapt, write, translate and design parenting materials
- assist the project team with reviews of literature and education resources for project activities
- provide management support to the PIs in planning, implementing and monitoring of all project activities
- provide administrative support for arrangement of meetings, training sessions, data collection, purchasing materials, maintaining material inventory, etc.
- coordinate with the project team for project related activities
- provide support to the PIs for various arrangements and documentation pertaining to project
- develop, manage and maintain project documents
- manage and keep records of reference materials used for projects
- data collection, transcription, analysis, coding, reviewing and data entry
- field visit to conduct survey, FGDs, Interviews/KII with different stakeholders (students/faculty/staff)
- manage and maintain field data
- assist team in drafting/writing high quality manuscripts and grant proposals
- attend project team meetings and respond to correspondence
- prepare periodic progress updates and reports for internal and external submission.
Requirements
You should have:
- completed an undergraduate degree (Bachelors), preferably in health or education
- certificate, Advanced Diploma in early child development, early childhood education
- professional experience in early child development, early childhood education
- graduate degree (Masters) would be preferred
- academic and/or work experience with material development, translation, data analysis and report writing
- experience using videoconferencing platforms like Zoom, MS Teams
- understanding of early child development and learning, and use this understanding to provide evidence based interventions
- ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in Urdu and English
- good planning, time management and organizational skills
- ability to coordinate and assist with administrative tasks
- good interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and ability to work independently and with teams
- proficiency in use of related computer software applications
- good conceptual and analytical skills
- ability to be flexible, patient, and work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- ability to deliver quality work in an efficient manner
- ability to take initiative, think creatively and problem solve when faced with new challenges
- ability to conduct Survey, FGDs, Interviews & KIIs in field
- understanding of geographies where the project activities will be carried out
- willingness to travel in all seasons to challenging areas of Gilgit-Baltistan.
