Job Role / Responsibilities:


You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely recording, reporting, and analysis of financial data in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Accounting Standards (IAS). This position will play a key role in managing financial reporting and analysis requirements, assisting in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports, and supporting the Manager Treasury in leading the annual audit process. The Assistant Manager will collaborate closely with other departments to ensure seamless execution of financial reporting processes, identify and resolve discrepancies, and provide critical support to meet all statutory and regulatory obligations. This role requires a strong understanding of financial regulations, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.


Specifically, you will be responsible for:


  • prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring full compliance with IFRS/IAS
  • perform detailed variance analysis on financial statements, identifying reasons for variances and providing actionable insights
  • maintain comprehensive documentation of all financial reporting processes to ensure easy access for audits and reviews
  • coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate a smooth audit process, providing all necessary documentation and explanations
  • identify opportunities for improving financial reporting processes and contribute to the implementation of best practices
  • collaborate with colleagues in the Finance department and other teams to support cross-functional financial initiatives
  • review bank reconciliations, ensuring they are accurate and up to date.

Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:


You should have/be:


  • qualified / Part Qualified CA / CMA / ACCA / CIMA | Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
  • minimum of 3 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or audit, with strong knowledge of IFRS/IAS and other relevant financial regulations, financial analysis, and audit activities.
  • must have experience of working in an Audit Firm
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • strong knowledge of overall financial systems
  • strong analytical and writing skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
