Assistant Manager Payables & Taxation

This role is responsible for managing and overseeing the accounts payable function, as well as ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. The Assistant Manager Payables & Taxation will play a crucial role in streamlining the payables process and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key responsibilities include:

• • Manage and supervise the accounts payable team, ensuring smooth operations and timely payments to vendors and suppliers.
  • Will be in charge of data entry, validation, and processing of various types of invoices like general overhead, project expenses, subcontractor, and employee related expenses
  • Assists in monthly and yearly closing
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve any payment discrepancies or issues.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations, including filing tax returns, managing withholding taxes, and liaising with tax authorities.
  • Responsible of vendor reconciliation on half yearly basis and need basis Provide guidance to various departments on matters concerning chargeability and withholding of income tax and sales tax. Sales tax reconciliation of FBR, SRB, PRA with GL & issues resolution with vendors, and return filling on monthly basis.
  • Prepare reports and analysis related to payables and taxation, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and implement necessary updates and changes in processes and procedures.
