Responsibilities:


You will be responsible to:


  • support the research team in planning and executing research activities
  • assist the research team in reviewing/adapting existing tools and developing new tools
  • support the preparation and submission of ERC applications and obtaining ERC approvals
  • develop and maintaining a comprehensive project database
  • revise and update the project’s work plan (including the M&E plan) as needed
  • assist the project team in teaching and documenting students’ experiences during the action research course and practicum
  • lead data enumerators in data collection, data entry, and transcription
  • guide students in developing case studies for prototype innovations
  • visit schools to monitor research data collection
  • coordinate with the BEd Programme Office regarding student participation in research activities
  • assist in organizing events such as innovation showcases, policy dialogues, and meetings
  • assist in preparing periodic progress reports, final research reports, policy briefs, and other dissemination materials
  • lead baseline data collection (pre- and post-tests) and compile the report
  • coordinate with relevant government departments (NACTE, STEDA, etc.) for policy-related activities and events
  • perform any other relevant tasks assigned by the supervisor or core research team members.

Requirements:


You should have:


  • Master’s degree in social or natural sciences from a reputable national/international university
  • 3-5 years of experience, preferably in managing research projects in education or social development
  • demonstrable experience in research project management, particularly in education
  • strong background in Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL)
  • expertise in progress monitoring and report writing
  • skilled in managing day-to-day research project operations
  • excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
  • strong analytical and organizational abilities
  • proficiency in MS Office, SPSS, Excel, and related software
  • ability to maintain confidentiality and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
