Job Brief:We are looking for an
AI specialist to develop and deploy models for smart building applications like energy optimization, predictive maintenance, and occupancy analysis. The role includes data analysis, implementing machine learning algorithms, testing model performance, and automating pipelines. You’ll work closely with engineering teams to integrate AI into building management and IoT systems, while staying current with AI trends and contributing to documentation and performance reports.

Key Responsibilities:- Develop and train AI models for various applications in smart buildings, including energy optimization, predictive maintenance, and occupancy analytics.
- Work with large datasets to do exploratory data analysis and extract useful features.
- Research and implement machine learning algorithms to be deployed in a production ready environment.
- Conduct experiments to evaluate the performance of AI models, set up automated pipelines, and retrain based on regular feedback.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate AI models into building management systems and IoT platforms.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning and explore new techniques that can be applied to smart building solutions.
- Assist in preparing documentation and reports on model development and performance analysis.
Qualifications and Experience:- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, or another AI related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of core machine learning principles and algorithms.
- 4+ years of industry experience in research, development, experimentation, and testing of machine learning models.
- Experience with anomaly detection, forecasting, and time series models.
- Experience with at least one of the big AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Experience working with large datasets, exploratory data analysis, preprocessing, and feature extraction tasks.
- Strong programming skills in Python, including familiarity with python ML stack (e.g.,NumPy, Pandas, Scikit, Matplotlib).
- Ability to write production ready code in a test-driven development environment, ability to write and work with end-to-end ML Pipelines and pushing the models to production.
- Experience with setting up monitoring dashboards (e.g. in Metabase, Tableau), continuous evaluation and training.
- Good understanding of cloud computing environments, ability to train large models in a cloud environment, and setup the experiment tracking.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and taking ownership.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Eagerness to learn about smart buildings, HVAC systems, and other related technologies is a plus.
