Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Android Developer with a minimum of 4 years of experience in building advanced Android applications. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin, as well as hands-on experience with Android Studio and the Android SDK. The role involves designing and maintaining high-performance applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the best quality and responsiveness of the app. This position requires a solid understanding of mobile development lifecycle, design patterns, and modern development practices.
Must Have Skillsets (Mandatory)
- Android Development: Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in Android app development.
- Proficiency in Java and Kotlin: Strong skills in both Java and Kotlin programming languages.
- Android SDK: Proficient in Android Studio and Android SDK, with experience across different Android versions and screen sizes.
- Mobile Development Lifecycle: Deep understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle and Android UI design principles.
- Object-Oriented Programming: Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, software architecture, and design patterns.
- RESTful APIs: Experience in integrating Android applications with back-end services using RESTful APIs.
- Performance Tuning: Experience with performance optimization, including offline storage, threading, and tuning for better efficiency.
Good to Have Skillsets (Optional)
- Sensors & Modules: Familiarity with mobile sensors like cameras, gyroscopes, and accelerometers.
- Cloud Messaging & Notifications: Experience with cloud messaging APIs and push notifications.
- Open-Source Libraries: Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and available libraries for common tasks.
- Continuous Integration & Version Control: Proficient understanding of version control tools like Git and experience with continuous integration practices.
- Project Management Tools: Familiarity with project management tools and processes.
- Emerging Technologies: Awareness of emerging technologies and trends in the mobile development landscape.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years in Android app development with strong expertise in Java, Kotlin, and Android SDK.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Android development tools, RESTful APIs, UI design principles, and performance tuning.
- Collaboration & Communication: Strong teamwork skills, ability to work with cross-functional teams, and excellent communication skills.
- Problem Solving: Analytical and problem-solving abilities to tackle technical challenges in app development.
