Job Description
The pandas have embarked on an inspiring journey to serve “Meal for Every Table.” This adventure began in the bustling hub of our Delivery Heroes, Vendor Partners, Suppliers, Pandamarts, and Passionate Homechefs, all united by the dream of delivering joy through delicious food & more. Join us on our journey as we aim to connect with 25% of Pakistan's population, delivering more than just meals, uplifting lives, and driving positive transformation throughout the nation. Come onboard as a “Account Manager” and play your part in the “Marketplace Commercial Domain.”
On this journey, you will report to “Manager, National Key Account Manager”
Your Responsibilities will include:
- Work cross functionally with Product, Sales, Operations and Marketing to deliver strategic projects and develop new business with existing vendors and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas and grow the business with at least 50%.
- Strive towards building credible supply partners to ensure availability of quality goods all around the year and ensure foodpanda Marketplace categories has the optimal selection and strategically competitive prices in the market.
- Employ data-driven decision making to drive the category & liaison between teams.
- Go-to-Market person, should be on the field, for market visits.
- Be the go-to person on industry and consumer trends and leverage insights for generating additional business with key suppliers through a mix of marketing and sales propositions.
- Collaborate with the team to identify the gaps and opportunities to grow the brand and company’s profitability.
- To bring in NCR for the vertical from existing clients and have Monthly Business reviews.
Qualifications
Your role in this journey requires the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field (required).
- 1-3 years of experience in account management, sales, business development, or category management, ideally in an eCommerce or marketplace setting.
- Proven experience in working cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Sales, and Marketing teams.
- Experience with data analysis tools like SQL, Power BI, or Tableau (preferred but not essential).
- Relevant certifications in eCommerce, Digital Marketing, or Data Analytics (a plus).
- Skills Set:
- Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret and work with large sets of data to make informed decisions.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: The role requires regular communication with vendors, internal teams, and key stakeholders.
- Negotiation Skills: Proven track record of successful negotiations with vendors and partners.
- Project Management Skills: Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets: Ability to create detailed reports, analyze sales trends, and perform data-driven decision-making.
- Sales and Marketing Acumen: Understanding of sales processes, marketing strategies, and how to leverage them for business growth.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to address complex challenges quickly and effectively.
- Time Management: Capability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and handle a fast-paced, multi-faceted role.
