As the Expert - App Growth, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of Ooredoo Oman's digital transformation. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to maximize the growth and engagement of our mobile applications. This involves understanding evolving consumer behavior, identifying key growth levers, and translating insights into impactful initiatives.
Core Responsibilities:
End-to-End App Growth Responsibility: + Own the B2C Ooredoo Oman App.
+ Ensure alignment with key stakeholders across departments.
+ Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in app growth and customer engagement.
+ Continuously identify new opportunities for enhancing app features, engagement, and monetization strategies.
+ Develop and execute roadmaps in collaboration with the Head of Department.
+ Secure management buy-in for roadmap execution.
+ Contribute significantly to the overall yearly Digital Marketing plan.
+ Develop strategies to encourage users to adopt new technologies for streamlined, shared, and efficient workflows.
App Growth & Campaign Management: + Develop and execute effective app campaigns that drive conversion, monetization, and high user engagement on the Ooredoo App.
+ Drive growth for transactions within the App (e.g., recharges, payments).
+ Create opportunities for new users to utilize the app and digital channels.
+ Increase the overall percentage of App users and App transactions.
Customer Acquisition & Retention: + Develop and execute campaigns to acquire new app users and drive app downloads.
+ Implement strategies to retain app customers and increase loyalty, focusing on lifecycle marketing.
Engagement & Automation: + Utilize tools like CleverTap to segment customers based on RFM analysis for personalized engagement.
+ Automate app notifications, in-app messages, and email campaigns to enhance user experience and boost interaction.
+ Drive MAU and DAU growth by utilizing targeted notifications (including in-app push notifications and planned app push messaging).
Notifications Management: + Identify app users and segment them daily.
+ Create daily messaging and communication plans for growth.
+ Provide recommendations to product managers based on app analytics team findings.
+ Create dynamic links for push notifications.
+ Manage smart push notifications that redirect users to specific app pages.
Customer Lifecycle Management: + Identify and manage customer lifecycle and address app "sickness" through engagement and gamification offers in collaboration with product managers.
+ Plan and manage Bulk SMS campaigns for non-App users.
+ Drive the return of inactive app users.
+ Develop and implement gamification strategies within the App to drive sustained usage and interaction.
Project Management & Risk Mitigation: + Identify and manage project obstacles (risks, issues, and changes in scope).
+ Support the creation of mitigation plans.
+ Collaborate with scrum teams and scrum masters to manage delivery.
+ Report on escalations and obstacles to the Head of Team and Director as needed.
+ Identify potential risks to user percentages and future predictions against any app utilization drops.
Reporting & Insights: + Prepare and present detailed performance reports, highlighting successes, learnings, and areas for improvement.
+ Utilize insights to iterate on strategies and optimize future initiatives.
+ Develop a real-time app reporting dashboard.
+ Integrate the use of CleverTap for app reporting.
+ Create segmented views on reports by mobile/fixed for B2C.
+ Report analytics to the App team and management on a daily basis.
Vendor Partnerships & PCI DSS: + Identify and maintain vendor partnerships that contribute to app growth, MAU/DAU, and transactions within the App.
+ Implement PCI DSS to enhance the payment experience.
+ Identify and maintain vendor partnerships that contribute to each app, product, or service within the portfolio.
+ Ensure partner innovation aligns with Ooredoo's roadmaps and remains relevant.
+ Monitor partner deliverables as per SLAs and KPIs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: + Foster effective cross-functional working relationships between the team and its stakeholders to ensure timely time-to-market.
The Person:
Minimum 6 years of overall work experience, preferably in telecommunications, with at least 2-3 years in managing apps and a strong understanding of the app ecosystem. At least 3 years of experience in handling or managing mobile app growth.
Technical Proficiency: + Expertise in customer engagement platforms (e.g., CleverTap, Braze).
+ Proficiency in RFM segmentation and data-driven marketing techniques.
+ Strong understanding of mobile app analytics tools (e.g., Firebase, Adjust, Mixpanel).
Strategic Thinking: + Ability to design, execute, and measure growth strategies to meet business objectives.
+ Skilled at balancing immediate needs with long-term growth initiatives.
Customer-Centric Approach: + Deep understanding of user behaviors, preferences, and pain points.
+ Commitment to delivering personalized and valuable app experiences.
Good understanding of customer interaction systems and front-line customer experience management.
3-5 years of experience in managing vendor relationships.
Analytical Skills: + Strong data interpretation skills to track performance and optimize campaigns.
+ Comfort with A/B testing, cohort analysis, and performance tracking.
+ Significant knowledge of product development and lifecycle management.
Track record of defining successful strategic visions based upon competitive analysis.
Significant understanding of Applications.
Good understanding of the underlying technology requirements for apps.
Track record of project execution through driving high-quality cross-functional teams.
MS Office proficiency.
Fluent in written and spoken English; Arabic is a plus.

Eligibility Criteria: + You must have been in your current position for at least 24 months.
+ You must have a minimum performance rate of 3.
