Site Management
§Prepare the projects
RFP/tender and supervise the project during the execution to assure adherence
to defined quality standards and specifications.
§Supervise and monitor
various construction activities at site to ensure compliance with project
parameters while promptly highlighting on any non-conformances for managerial
resolution.
§Revise and approve all the
technical drawings related to construction activities at port and Free Zone.
§Issue permits for tenants
prior to start their activities and ensure that works are carried out in a safe
manner and in accordance with SIP Permit Procedures & Conditions.
§Ensure that the tenants are
work as per the approved method statement and construction drawings.
§Coordinate and facilitate
between different construction parties and provide technical solutions and
resolve conflicts to achieve uninterrupted operations.
§Report works progress and major site issues to the Lead of Site
Managment Unit.
§Steer, correct and stop the
works where necessary and pro-actively in line with defined policies.
§Physically verify the
accuracy of as built drawings submitted by permit holders to assure compliance
to standards.
§Take over the plots, laydown
area and corridors from tenants and their authorized contractors, carryout
surveying activities when necessary and general inspection of working
environment to validate compliance to defined quality and HSE standards.
§Improve and correct the tenants/contractor's work
methodology when needed.
Team Supervision
§Provide guidance and on the
job training for junior colleagues and conduct knowledge sharing to facilitate
achievement of team objectives and completion of tasks in an efficient manner
which is consistent with operating procedures and policy.
Budgets and Plans
§Monitor the financial
performance of a given area of activity versus budgets and ensure all
activities are carried out in line with the approved guidelines while promptly
reporting on any variances to management.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
§Provide inputs and implement
policies, systems and procedure for the assigned section so that all relevant
procedural/legislative requirements, fulfilled while delivering a quality,
cost-effective service. Day-To-Day Operations
§Ensure the implementation of
the process and procedure as per ISO55000 requirement.
Continuous Improvement
§Participate in the identification of opportunities for
continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering
global best standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
Quality, Health, Safety, & Environment
§Ensure compliance to all relevant quality, health, safety
and environmental management procedures and controls within a defined area of
activity to guarantee employee safety, compliance, delivery of high-quality
products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
Statement and Reports
Minimum Qualification, Experience & Knowledge & Skills
§Bachelor’s
degree in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline.
§3 years’ experience in a similar function.
§Ability to analyse civil and construction drawings.
§Good experience in Risk Management and Hazards control.
§Good communication skills.
§Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work and effectively work
within a project team.
§Good computer skills and familiar with CAD systems.
