Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Finance Director. The Senior Accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing financial planning and analysis. This individual will prepare budgets, monthly MIS reports, and financial reporting to guide the organization's financial activities and support its strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

1. Recording of Financial Transactions: Record all day-to-day financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, payments, Fixed assets, inventory, bank transactions and the like. Ensure data is checked for accuracy, and all related documents are properly filed and documented.
2. Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to guide the organization's financial activities to support its strategic goals.
3. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial metrics, to provide a clear picture of the organization's financial performance to management and stakeholders.
4. Financial Control and Management: Ensure proper financial controls, accounting principles, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
5. Treasury Management: Manage cash flow to ensure the organization has sufficient liquidity to meet its operational and financial obligations. Optimize cash flow through effective accounts receivable and accounts payable management, and timely reporting of cashflow.
6. Audit and Compliance: Coordinate and manage external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
7. Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks and report to the Financial Controller accordingly.
