About the Role
As a Project Director/Manager for one of the public transport projects in Oman, you will lead program management initiatives in the field of public transport planning. This senior-level role demands expertise in transport planning, a strong background in managing multidisciplinary teams, and international experience, particularly in the Gulf region.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee program management and planning activities in public transport projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and project objectives.
Provide expert input in preparing, reviewing, and implementing transport plans, leveraging international best practices.
Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and teamwork to achieve project milestones.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct and review development plans with a focus on sustainability, innovation, and alignment with local and international standards.
Utilize computer-based planning models to support decision-making processes and optimize transport systems.
Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and documentation for stakeholders.
Contribute expertise to at least one similar public transport project, demonstrating a proven track record of success.
Your Requirements to Be Successful:
Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Public Transport Planning, Transportation Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field from a well-reputed university.
At least 20 years of relevant professional experience in management and public transport planning.
Extensive international experience working in development planning across multiple countries, with a preference for experience in the Gulf region.
Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage and inspire teams of similar nature.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Proficiency in computer-based planning models and advanced planning tools.
