Job Summary:
The Laser Scan Lead Engineer (preferred piping background) is responsible for overseeing the Laser scanning, E3D Modelling, development, and implementation of systems using laser scanning technology.
This role involves leading a team of designers, workshare offices, ensuring the accuracy and correctness of E3D model and integrating laser scan data into the modelling process.
Job Description:
·Laser Scanning Integration knowledge required (Utilize laser scanning technology to capture accurate data of existing systems and integrate this data into new E3D Model)
·Strong knowledge for integration and laser scanning technology to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and overall project outcomes.
·Strong knowledge for E3D tool and its functionality to use efficiently with identifying the cataloguing issue.
·Conduct thorough reviews of E3D Model design documents, including Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), plot plans, and accuracy and quality.
·Collaborate with laser scan team for data input / integration, EDS team, other workshare offices, engineering disciplines, project managers, and customer to ensure seamless project execution and integration of piping systems.
·Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
·Address and resolve technical issues and challenges that arise during the Modelling and implementation phases.
·Prepare and review technical documents, reports, and specifications related to laser scanning data.
·Understand cross discipline activities pertaining to 3D model.
·Ability to leverage new technologies and methodologies to improve Modelling, Quality assurance, checking and implementation processes.
·Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Qualifications:
·Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Piping Engineering, or a related field.
·Experience: Experience with laser scanning technology is highly desirable.
·Skills: Proficiency in piping design software (e.g., E3D, AutoCAD), strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent communication.
·Certifications: Relevant certifications in E3D & laser scanning technology are a plus.
