Maintenance Engineer - MEIA Graduate Program

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

We are looking for talents like you to join our full-time permanent positions in our MEIA Graduate Program. Your journey in this program will consist of challenging and exciting tasks at work, and your development will be accelerated through the formulation of a personal development plan, local or internal assignments, and focused training programs over the course of a year.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will manage an assigned area or team, ensuring efficient operations and quality maintenance of assets and property. Additionally, you will maintain firefighting and fire detection systems in compliance with the Jotun's Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) management system and other local standards.
This position will be based in Muscat, Oman, and will report to the Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure fire protection systems' inspection, testing, documentation, and maintenance comply with Jotun HSEQ Management System, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and other local requirements.

  
  

• Manage external maintenance contractors, analyze reports, and provide solutions using root cause analysis. Monitor and evaluate service contractors' performance.

  
  

• Ensure internal and external HSEQ requirements are followed.

  
  

• Maintain and monitor production equipment, and prepare preventative and breakdown maintenance schedules in coordination with the Planning and Production Supervisor.

  
  

• Implement root cause analysis on recurring or critical breakdowns and failures.

  
  

• Ensure the Jotun Maintenance System area of responsibility is always up to date.

  
  

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER

We are looking for: 

• A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  
  

• Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a related field.

  
  

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  
  

• Understanding of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes and fire protection systems would be an additional advantage.
