INTERIM WHOLE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL - MUSCAT OMAN - IMMEDIATE OR January
We are seeking to appoint an effective and experienced School Principal for our Cambridge School in Oman; the newly appointed Principal will start as soon as possible.
The school is a K-12 school with a strong reputation and history.
Academic excellence is paramount to us, and the nature of our external exams have a significant bearing on our teaching philosophy. As these exams for the most part are skills-
and knowledge-based, and generally exclude coursework, we put a lot of emphasis on curriculum proficiency for students to learn the specifics required. We are firm believers in
cultivating independent thinking, sound reasoning, and innovation, something we believe is best achieved using progressive teaching methods.

The successful School Principal will:
• Be an excellent teacher and effective, experienced school leader
• Have a proven track record of making a significant and positive impact upon the learning opportunities for children
• Secure the delivery of high standards in all aspects of the school
• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be a good team player
• Play a leading role in demonstrating the excellence of our school to stakeholders and the local and wider community
• Teacher recruitment experience will be an advantage
To be considered the applicant must have:
• Significant and relevant experience in educational leadership and management
• A degree, or postgraduate qualification in education
• A professional interest in recent educational developments and initiatives
• Excellent leadership, management and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work successfully within an international context
• High standards and expectations from self and others
• Experience of leadership in a multicultural Cambridge Curriculum school or equivalent with children where English may be a second language will be an added advantage.
• An understanding of operating in a for-profit school environment.
• A proven record of leading HSSE and pupil safeguarding and knowledge of how this is applied in a school context
Offer:
The successful applicant will be offered a family status one-year contract in the first instance to be renewed for two years by mutual agreement.
