- You will be responsibility to assist in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within OAPIL. The role will involve supporting daily safety checks, assisting in the implementation of safety protocols, and ensuring that the workplace adheres to relevant standards. The HSE Technician will be a critical support function, working closely with supervisors, + workers, and HSE officers to maintain a safe and efficient working environment. Full-time, with shifts potentially involving weekends or nights depending on the operational needs of the situation /emergency.
- Assist all required standards are in place with regards to Health, Safety and Environment within Company premises.
- Assist to implement the principles and practices of occupational safety and health including industrial hygiene and environmental protection programs.
- You will be responsibility to understanding of IMS general industry regulations and related state statutes/regulations or local ordinances.
- Assist to provide employee training using multiple delivery methods and media.
- Ability to conduct a “root cause” analysis.
- Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communication to individuals and groups of various sizes who possess a wide range of language skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with individuals in a wide range of situations, circumstances, and settings as well as the ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce to achieve stated HSE objectives.
- Ability to operate a computer effectively and the ability to use Microsoft Office products and other software applications effectively to manage information.
- Ability to act appropriately in emergency situations.
- Ability to interpret and effectively communicate technical documents such as Job Safety Analysis to workers, visitors and any other appropriate personnel.
- You will be responsibility to ensure implementation & adherence to all policies, procedures and systems related to HSE.
- Review and update the Company’s emergency response plan.
- Enforce safe working practices and ensure lost time incidents are kept to a minimum.
- Ensure timely inspection and maintenance of equipment’s such as fire-fighting equipment’s, safety harnesses, first aid boxes, overhead cranes, spill kits, etc.
- You will be responsibility to communicate and update all HSE related processes and procedures to all personnel within the Company.
- Continuously update self with the latest in Oman’s Labor Law, National and International HSE Policies.
- Conduct timely training and safety workshops, toolbox meetings, etc. for all personnel in the Company.
- Do a daily walk-around through the Company premises and educate personnel, especially shop floor, regarding safety guidelines, good housekeeping and proper maintenance of workshop.
- Drive and maintain the Company’s HSE reputation.
- Perform regular audits and monitor HSE performance to identify areas for improvement and ensure that appropriate corrective or preventative actions are taken, including follow-up reviews.
- Ownership, control and continuous improvement of the Company’s Safety Management Systems.
- Coordinate preparation of statistics pertaining to Company HSE activity for use by Company personnel and outside agencies.
- Lead any necessary accident/incident investigation and reporting.
- Ensure that all safety & environmental issues are managed fulfilling the requirements of all the regulations.
- Provide audit reports, with preventive and corrective actions taken.
- Liaise with company personnel during Emergency Response situation and safety drills.
- Carry out Emergency Response testing and fix any shortfalls.
- Coordinate with the ROP and relevant government agencies for ongoing investigation requirements as well as act as focal point between them and OAPIL for HSE related issues.
- You will be responsibility to coordinate to ensure that the staff has undergone the yearly medical checkup.
- Responsible for updating the monthly reports regarding near-miss, incidents, and accidents.
- Coordinate and follow-up with maintenance department to ensure inspection of all the machinery and equipment at OAPIL is complete.
- Working Full-time, with shifts potentially involving weekends or nights depending on the operational needs of the situation /emergency.
- To spend 90%of his time in the site to implementing and monitoring site-specific health, safety and environmental operations and tasks at the assigned job site

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a basic HSE training course (preferred but not mandatory).
- Willingness to learn and receive further training related to HSE standards and industrial safety practices
Skills/Knowledge:
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation.
- Ability to communication and interpersonal skills (English )
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. good common sense, read, write & speak English language and some basic understanding with computers. It could be good for us if he has some years of industrial experience.
- Basic understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Familiarity with personal protective equipment (PPE) and its correct usage.
- Knowledge of emergency procedures, hazard reporting, and incident response.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with other team members.
- Report writing skills.
Experience:
- similar experience in related industries within Middle East.
