Is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect an organization’s digital assets, networks, and data from cyber threats. This role involves risk assessment, incident response, and compliance with industry security standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage robust and secure network architectures to protect organizational assets.
Configure, maintain, and optimize firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security appliances to ensure maximum protection.
Continuously monitor network traffic to identify, analyze, and mitigate potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans to proactively address risks.
Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices to safeguard against cyber threats.
Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to enhance and evolve the organization’s security frameworks.
Respond to, investigate, and remediate security incidents and breaches in a timely and effective manner.
Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, tools, and technologies to ensure the organization remains ahead of potential risks.
Provide technical expertise, support, and guidance on security-related issues to internal teams and stakeholders.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of security policies, incident reports, network configurations, and remediation activities
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Relevant IT network certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) and cybersecurity certifications .
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in IT systems, network administration, and cybersecurity domains. Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing secure network architectures and security solutions.
Experience with security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection platforms.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity standards, frameworks, and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, PCI-DSS).
In-depth knowledge of risk management, threat modeling, and incident response methodologies.
