Project Manager



Purpose of the Job



Job Description



Key Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive logistics plans, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution strategies. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (procurement, operations, and supply chain) to ensure project alignment. Establish timelines, milestones, and deliverables for logistics projects. Manage the end-to-end supply chain process, from sourcing to delivery. Optimize logistics operations to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery of goods. Implement solutions to reduce lead times, transportation costs, and improve overall efficiency.
Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PL), carriers, and vendors. Resolve any logistical issues that arise during transport or distribution.
Identify potential risks in the logistics process and develop contingency plans. Troubleshoot issues such as shipment delays, inventory discrepancies, or customs clearance problems. Implement strategies to mitigate risk and ensure smooth operation.
Manage logistics project budgets, ensuring cost-efficiency and alignment with company financial goals. Monitor and track project expenses, including transportation costs, warehousing fees, and equipment costs. Analyze logistics data to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvements.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics operations (on-time delivery, cost per shipment, etc.). Prepare regular reports for senior management on logistics performance, budget, and project status. Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.
Lead and mentor logistics teams to ensure project goals are met. Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
Strong knowledge of logistics, supply chain management, and transportation. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions. Experience with logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle Transportation Management, or similar tools). Negotiation skills for managing vendors and contracts. Problem-solving and risk management capabilities. Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Job Responsibilities - Experience and Education



Qualifications:
Bac+3/5 degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field. Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management. Experience managing large-scale logistics projects in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with international logistics, customs regulations, and trade compliance.
