Postdoctoral Fellow: The successful candidate will have recently completed graduate studies in a PhD or MD/PhD program with a strong background in Neuroscience and experience with in vivo rodent assays.

The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving and communication skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time appropriately. The candidate will work both independently and as part of a team and should be a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple activities, while conducting individual research and disseminating results. Must be able to work and communicate effectively with faculty, research assistants / associates, administrative assistants, students, and other personnel. Techniques performed may include:+ surgeries
+ behavioral analysis performed live and using machine learning on video
+ tissue dissection
+ immunohistochemistry and imaging using cutting edge technology including clearing techniques, confocal and light sheet microscopes.
Research Assistant: The research assistant will assist with experiments that will include techniques such as surgeries, behavioral analysis performed live and using machine learning on video, tissue dissection, and image analysis. There will be opportunity to learn immunohistochemistry and imaging using cutting edge technology including clearing techniques, confocal and light sheet microscopes. The successful candidate will also demonstrate that they have the following skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks. Familiarity with microscopy. Familiarity with basic laboratory protocols. Careful attention to detail. Self-directed learning and ability to work independently
Qualifications Postdoctoral Fellow: Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. in neuroscience or a related life sciences field and 0-3 years of postdoctoral experience. Experience in rodent handling, surgical techniques, and behavioral analyses is highly desirable. Experience in the neurobiology of pain is advantageous but not required.
Research Assistant: BA or BS in a scientific field. Some prior laboratory experience preferred. Dedication, attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a highly collaborative and interactive environment.
