Your Role
As a freight responsible, you will ensure a permanent follow-up of the transport of goods at the time of reception and dispatch.
The activities of the freight responsible are as follows:
- To manage the relationship with the forwarder and the carrier;
- Make proposals concerning the choice of carriers;
- Elaborate the weekly schedule of pick-ups for the carrier;
- Follow up on the overtime of the invoicing agents;
- Manage PTA for special transport requests;
- To follow up the situation of trailers ;
- Follow up the merchandise passing through the predetermined checkpoints until it arrives at the factory ;
- Transport forecasting & Optimization ;
- Question of the logistic flow.
- Ensure daily monitoring of the number of trailers used (Import and Export) in order to avoid disruptions;
- Ensure the follow-up of the occupation rate and mileage in order to optimize transport costs;
- Elaborate and follow up statistics and transport costs on a weekly basis;
- Supervise reception and shipping;
- Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, health and safety standards.
Your Background
- You got a Master's degree in Logistics, with one to two years of experience in the automotive industry or similar position.
- You have good Leadership Competencies,
- You have good level in Excel, Reporting and analysis,
- Advanced presentation skills,
- You Speak French and English languages Fluently.
