Freelance IT Risk Specialist – ALM/FTP/IRRBB/LCR/NSFR Ref. 005795

We are seeking an experienced IT Risk Specialist with expertise in ALM (Asset Liability Management), FTP (Funds Transfer Pricing), IRRBB (Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book), LCR (Liquidity Coverage Ratio), and NSFR (Net Stable Funding Ratio). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing IT solutions to support risk management and regulatory compliance in the banking and financial sectors.

• Duration: 3 months renewable

Key Responsibilities:

• IT Solution Design & Implementation:
• • Develop and implement IT tools to monitor and manage financial risks (ALM, FTP, IRRBB, LCR, NSFR).
  • Collaborate with risk teams to design data models, dashboards, and analytical tools.
  • System Integration:
  • Integrate risk management tools into the organization’s existing IT infrastructure, such as ERP systems, treasury systems, and BI platforms.
  • Ensure seamless connectivity between systems for real-time data processing and reporting.
• Data Management & Analysis:
• • Design and maintain robust data pipelines using ETL processes to extract, transform, and load financial data.
  • Manage databases and perform advanced queries for risk analysis using SQL, Python, or other programming tools.
• Regulatory Compliance Automation:
• • Develop automated solutions for regulatory reporting (e.g., LCR, NSFR).
  • Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations through IT-enabled processes.
• Performance Optimization:
• • Optimize IT systems for efficient handling of large datasets and improve risk calculation performance.
  • Implement fail-safe measures to ensure high availability and integrity of risk management systems.
• Cybersecurity:
• • Ensure data security by implementing encryption, user access controls, and IT governance protocols.
• Collaboration & Support:
• • Act as the bridge between IT, finance, and risk management teams to ensure alignment of objectives.
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting risk-related IT systems and processes.

Profile Requirements:

• Technical Skills:
• • Strong experience in programming languages: Python, Java, or R.
  • Expertise in database management systems: SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.
  • Proficiency in risk management tools such as QRM, Moody’s RiskAuthority, Murex, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and reporting automation.
• Soft Skills:
• • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Capacity to translate financial requirements into IT solutions.
• Experience:
• • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in IT roles related to risk management in the banking or financial services sector.
  • Proven expertise in working with NoSQL databases and systems like Couchbase (preferred).
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies is a plus.
• Educational Background:
• • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
  • Certifications in risk management or IT (e.g., FRM, CFA, PMP, ITIL) are advantageous.
