Hexcel is currently seeking an EHS Manager for our Casablanca, Morocco location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

• Act as the internal expert on regulatory and EHS policy issues, and develop procedures for compliance, as required, and ensure the Legal Registry is always updated.
• Deliver technical and behavioral health and safety training to ensure workforce is trained in accordance with their role.
• Support and ensure safe use of new equipment or of modified equipment following the Management of Change (MOC) procedure.
• Ensure a dynamic management of the proactive safety and EHS programs such as near miss reporting, positive safety interactions, behavior-based safety, including feedback loop and follow up on actions.
• Provide health and safety reports, updates, and action status on any EHS topic from the Staff Consultative Committee.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and corporate expectations, including reporting, sustainability improvement and improving operational efficiency to reduce/eliminate waste.
• Ensure line leadership properly on-boards and mentors’ new workers, and all training is managed within a learning management system (LMS).
• Provide regular leadership training to senior site leadership and front-line leaders – reinforcing expectations of proactive hazard reviews, worker accountability, shop floor visibility and on-going safe work behaviors.
• Maintain the Emergency Response plan and participate in Plant emergency preparedness activities. Conduct periodic drills of the Emergency Response Plan and assess for effectiveness and opportunities for improvement.
• Manage medical surveillance programs (including but not limited to hearing conservation, respiratory protection, personal protective equipment, etc.), industrial hygiene, and ergonomics programs.  Act as facility liaison between the Hexcel Medical Consultant and any employee to resolve identified issues, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Engineering degree in relevant health & safety qualification
• Experience of 10 years as an EHS professional in similar position in manufacturing companies is mandatory.
• A practical hands-on approach for managing the EHS Management Systems, including experience with ISO 14001 and 45001.
• Strong leadership skills to drive continued cultural change.
• Internal/external audit experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with experience delivering training.
• Project management skills
• Language:  French- Fluent, English- Fluent
