Our client provides a smart materials management and purchasing platform specifically designed for small to medium-sized HVAC, plumbing, and electrical contracting businesses. They simplify the day-to-day for blue-collar professionals by streamlining everything from requesting quotes to managing stock across multiple locations. They’re looking for a driven and curious Business Development Representative (BDR) with a knack for cold calling and a proven track record in SaaS sales to help connect their platform with decision-makers who need it most.
Location: Fully-Remote (Work from Home), 9 AM - 5 PM EST


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct high-volume outbound cold calls daily to blue-collar professionals, including Warehouse Managers, Operations Managers, and business owners.


  • Introduce and pitch SaaS solutions, aligning offerings with the specific needs and challenges of prospects.


  • Build rapport with decision-makers and champions, fostering trust and engagement to move prospects through the sales funnel.


  • Effectively handle objections and rejections with professionalism and persistence.


  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all interactions, leads, and opportunities in the CRM system.


  • Collaborate with the sales team to refine strategies, share insights, and achieve collective goals.


  • Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly call and conversion targets.


  • Continuously learn about the SaaS solutions, industry trends, and competitor offerings to enhance pitch effectiveness.


Regularly report progress, challenges, and opportunities to management

  • Lead Generation: Consistently generate qualified leads by engaging with decision-makers.


  • Conversions: Meet or exceed call and conversion targets, contributing to the sales team’s success.


  • Customer Engagement: Develop strong connections with prospects, fostering interest and trust in the offered solutions.


  • Process Efficiency: Maintain well-organized CRM records to support seamless follow-ups and collaboration.



Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • Cold Calling Expertise: Proven success in high-volume cold-calling roles, particularly in outbound sales environments.


  • SaaS Sales Experience: Demonstrated success in selling SaaS solutions to a variety of audiences.


  • Sales Experience: Strong background in engaging and selling to Warehouse Managers, Operations Managers, and business owners.


  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly over the phone.


  • CRM Proficiency: Experience using CRM systems for lead management and tracking interactions effectively.


  • Curiosity and Resilience: A natural curiosity to learn, paired with a resilient attitude to overcome objections and challenges.


  • Remote Work Proficiency: Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining high productivity and meeting targets.
