Position: CSSD Technician
Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced CSSD Technician to join our client's team. As a CSSD Technician, you will be responsible for the proper cleaning, sterilization, and distribution of medical equipment and supplies. Your attention to detail and adherence to strict protocols will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and cleanliness of medical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical equipment and instruments according to established protocols and standards
- Inspect and assemble equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Monitor and record sterilization cycles and maintain accurate records
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of sterilization equipment
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and efficient processing of equipment
- Participate in training and educational programs to stay updated on best practices and new equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a CSSD Technician or in a similar role
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and equipment
- Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Must be able to lift and move heavy equipment
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
