The Team


The Platform Technologies group drives the evolution of the MX.3 technical capabilities aligned with market standards and customers' expectations.  It’s an end-to-end organization that aims to address the technical and technological challenges of the platform.


The group is organized into domains that are composed of developers, product managers, architects and experts:

    • Environment lifecycle management (ELM)

The Environment Lifecycle Management (ELM) domain product manages the non-functional capabilities of the platform during installation and re-installation (Maintenance, purge, data model governance, etc.) and their underlying technical components.


The team is made of Product Managers and Technical Experts from different seniority levels. Team members are in contact with many development and support teams from all the offices of Murex and in direct contact with customers.


What you'll do


  • You will be a product manager of one or multiple ELM products. Contributing to the Platform Technologies strategy; Building and driving the product(s) roadmap(s). You will as well maintain their stability and drive their evolution.
  • You'll play the role of Product Owner as part of an agile team within an Agile Release Train
    • Contributing to the execution of the product vision, corrective and evolutive maintenances
    • Building product expertise
    • Owning product backlog and prioritization
    • Writing stories and acceptance criteria and driving iteration goals
    • Conducting demos, performing risk assessments and writing release notes 
    • Applying agile and SAFe practices
  • As a member of the ELM domain you will be:
    • Providing support to internal (L1) and external customers (L3) during the different phases of the MX.3 platform lifecycle (from presales to solution design to implementation to production),
    • Contributing to the domain activity towards achieving Platform technologies domain-level objectives. 

Who you are


Background


Computer science or software engineering diploma


Experience


  • 2 to 5 years of previous work experience in backend software development or technical product management
  • Knowledge in the following concepts:
    • Database administration and data-access in software development
    • SQL syntax and querying
    • MX environment deployment & upgrade
    • RMI and HTTP communication protocols
    • Launcher and JSF based services
  • Knowledge of cluster management / container orchestration concepts and technologies (e.g. Kubernetes) is a plus
  • Prior experience operating and/or supporting MX.3 for Murex customers would be a big plus
  • Key differentiators:
    • Previous hands-on experience working within an agile team
    • Experience as Scrum master, product owner or product manager
