Presentation
The Senior Analyst will supervise and plan to produce analytical products based on secondary data and coordinate with other stakeholders to identify information gaps, process requests for analysis, and support humanitarian clusters. S/he will ensure analytical standards are respected throughout the process and analyse specific topics while ensuring coordination with stakeholders on the ground. S/he will also facilitate scenario development.
The Senior Analyst will be under the management of iMMAP Inc. Project Manager.
Data Collection and Management
In support to the HIST team, collect, clean, and validate data from various sources to ensure accuracy and reliability. In support to the HIST team, develop and maintain databases and data management systems relevant to humanitarian response.
Data Analysis
Conduct relevant analyses and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform humanitarian response strategies. Utilize AI and machine learning algorithms to analyze large datasets and predict outcomes that can enhance planning and resource allocation.
Reporting and Visualization
Create comprehensive reports and dashboards to present data insights to OCHA, clusters, and humanitarian stakeholders in Lebanon. Develop data visualizations to communicate complex data in an accessible and understandable manner, aiding decision-making processes. Lead the delivery of project reports (contextual and thematic reports) in close coordination with the Technical Content writer/editor.
AI Integration
Implement AI tools and techniques to automate data processing and analysis tasks. Develop predictive models and algorithms to support proactive and informed decision-making in humanitarian response efforts.
Collaboration and Capacity Building
Work closely with OCHA and cluster teams to identify data needs and provide analytical support. Train and support OCHA and cluster staff in data analysis and AI tools and techniques to build internal capacity, as relevant.
Continuous Improvement
Stay updated with the latest developments in data analytics and AI. Identify opportunities for improving data processes and implementing new technologies to enhance humanitarian response efforts.
General Duties
Perform any additional duties as requested by management to support various organizational visualization needs.
Requirements
Education
University degree (Bachelor’s degree or higher) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
A High School diploma combined with an extensive relevant professional experience may be accepted in lieu of a university degree.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis or a related field. Proven experience in applying AI and machine learning techniques to real-world problems. Experience working with humanitarian organizations or in a related field is a plus.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
Familiarity with AI frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch. Knowledge of SQL and database management.
