Job Purpose:
Under the direct supervision of the Head of Security, this position is based in the Beirut Country Office with frequent travel to the field. The incumbent will contribute to the daily management of WFP’s security operations and support the effective delivery of programmes that address food assistance needs while ensuring the safety and security of WFP personnel, operations, and facilities.

STANDARD MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Advanced University degree in Security Management, Risk Management, International Relations, Law Enforcement, Analytics or other relevant field; OR First University degree with additional years of related work experience and training/courses (SCP/LSA/SAPP). A diploma obtained from Military/Police Academy with qualifying relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the first University degree.
Experience: A minimum three (3) years or more of progressively responsible professional experience in security management (relevant military, policy or corporate) and/or security risk management, with a background and interest in international humanitarian development. Experience in managing staff.
Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English. Knowledge of French or Arabic language is desirable.
