GNB (Global Network Banking) serves a select number of world leading corporations that demand the highest standards and world class quality coverage.
The Relationship Associate will be responsible for a portfolio of Multinational Corporate Subsidiaries. The focus of this role is to protect existing revenues, exit non-profitable relationships, and originate net new revenues from the full suite of banking products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Parent Account Management (PAM) teams, Risk, service organization, product and sales teams to achieve the best solutions for portfolio of clients.
- Prospect new Subsidiary Account Management (SAM) clients and acquire new business from these clients building up local/regional relationships.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Improve knowledge of Clients' needs from information sharing, and regular client calling program. Recommend solutions to address clients’ needs, such as financing, streamlining of cash management operations, foreign currency solutions, trade finance, trade services, etc.
- Enhance collaboration across product and customer groups. Partner with product specialists to drive overall client satisfaction, build client loyalty, and respond to client escalation issues.
- Understand the dynamics of the local financial markets, banking industry and regulatory environment.
- Know competition and be able to provide critical input to win transactions.
- Manage client’s expectations and effectively engage in difficult discussions with clients.
- Assist Banker with the preparation of relationship reviews and client portfolios
- Facilitate credit originations, credit allocation, approvals, documentation, bookings, fee collections and renewals for facilities, Standby Letters of Credit and justify exceptions, as well as credit allocation from Parent Account Management teams and Credit Risk Management
Knowledge/Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of work experience in banking or financial services with client management and/or sales responsibilities.
- Knowledge of banking products.
- Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis and financial math.
Qualifications:
- Professional degree in Business Administration, Finance or Economics or equivalent work experience.
- Master’s degree in Finance or Business Administration a plus.
