The purpose of this position is support the implementation of the WFP project in Akkar area. The officer will manage project related data. They will coordinate with the project engineer for engineering related data, and with the site supervisors for beneficiary related data. They will also play a crucial role in managing project related documents and their exchange internally and with external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather information on the local context, target communities, service providers, employers, other livelihood actors and local Government Entities in order to enhance coordination and explore further livelihood opportunities; Identify and target beneficiaries. Manage casual workers in doing the data gathering, planning assessments weekly Conduct data cleaning and entry including maintenance of the data base; as well as the Donor lists ( outreach lists , service list , payment lists ) with minimum level of error Follow up on the running of the daily livelihood center activities including service providers; Conduct the market assessment in targeted villages; Hold information sessions amongst project and livelihood staff on findings of the outreach activities; Assist the registration process , monitor the data collection activity by the project staff and casual workers. The project officer is responsible on the quality of the data collected Uphold the responsibility of retaining all documentation pertaining directly to Cash for Work activities, ensuring meticulous record-keeping, particularly in matters pertaining to labor. This diligent practice serves the vital purpose of maintaining accountability to the donor, safeguarding the integrity of the program, and facilitating transparency in our operations Ensure beneficiary attendance register are up to date Work norms are followed to the details, and foremen are conversant with them Consistently perform scheduled field visits to the project site, actively engaging with project activities on the ground. Employ pertinent tools to capture real-time progress and developments. Subsequently, communicate these updates to the project manager, ensuring the seamless flow of information and the alignment of on-ground actions with project goals Produce regular and comprehensive monthly reports detailing the progress of the project( Donor reporting tools ). These reports serve as valuable tools for tracking project advancements, identifying potential areas for improvement Participate in Programme evaluation and share trends with Project Manager. Deliver weekly/daily reports characterized by high quality, accuracy, and punctuality specially the donor lists ( payment lists / attendance lists ). By consistently providing detailed and reliable updates. Adhere to World Vision's stipulated guidelines for project auditing by diligently organizing and filing all pertinent project document. The project officer is responsible on filling/archiving all the project data/ files Support in the donor and partner visits Support actions to address beneficiary feedback; Action protection mainstreaming standards suggested by the Project Manager. Receiving Purchasing Files and filling them as per the Team SOP’s
Insuring all Purchasing documents are updated and well organized. Handled with the proper process to the finance department
Perform other duties as required:
Attend trainings locally and internationally. Attend and participate in WVL’s spiritual nurture and other organizational events. Responsible of own security and actively contribute to a positive security culture. Abide by the security policies and procedures and report any incidents or breaches to line manager and / or security manager. Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
Minimum requirements:
University Bachelor Degree in ( Social work , Humanitarian Context) Or equivalent Good understanding and knowledge of the north Lebanon area Able to use a computer, with word-processing (e.g. Microsoft Office) and spreadsheets, internet and e-mail. Experience in data gathering at household level and focus group discussions; 2-3 years' experience in a similar role. A valid driver’s license (more than 1 year old). Ability to act with appropriate respect to the beneficiaries’ cultures and traditions. Ability to gather information in an objective, appropriate and sensitive way. Ability to travel across the country regularly for training, assessment, regular monitoring and evaluation
