MedGlobal is a global humanitarian non-profit organization providing medical and health education services to people in need, including refugees and displaced persons, in disaster and underserved regions. The organization is composed of medical and public health professionals of diverse backgrounds.

JOB SUMMARY



The Program Manager for Lebanon will oversee the implementation and management of MedGlobal’s healthcare projects. Responsibilities include ensuring high-quality medical services, managing day-to-day operations, coordinating logistics, and monitoring program performance. The role involves working closely with volunteers and partners, adapting to emergencies, and maintaining compliance with local and international standards. The ideal candidate must have a medical or public health background, experience in humanitarian programs, and strong organizational and leadership skills.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



1. Program Implementation and Management



Lead the implementation of ongoing projects, including needs assessments and day-to-day operational tasks

Ensure high-quality medical services, supplies, and health information systems that comply with host country regulations and international standards.
Ensure flexibility in responding to emergencies or crises, adapting plans and priorities based on evolving needs. Be prepared to act swiftly in urgent situations, maintaining open communication with the Country Representative and adjusting resource allocation as required.

2. Field Administration, Logistics and Training



Work closely with the Country Representative and National Health cluster on monthly reports. Review all program activities, ensuring security considerations are prioritized in any new initiatives. Deliver requests to the logistics coordinator for projects, goods, and services procurement with follow-up to ensure they meet programmatic needs. Provide oversight of all the volunteer logistics from Lebanon, including orienting volunteer providers to processes on-site during Resilient Medical missions. Act as a resource to collect and disseminate information to potential and upcoming volunteers, including collection and distribution of required written materials.

3. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Audit



Work with MedGlobal’s Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist to implement M&E for the overall programs, as well as special MedGlobal programs. Provide standardized monitoring and evaluation tools and guidance on how to use it. Monitor day to day progress of Lebanon program and assist with the identification of issues which may affect the quality of program performance and consequent program adjustments.

4. Contact, Communication, and Coordination



Attend regional and local sub-cluster meetings and/or problem-solving with our partner organizations Maintain contact with Partner NGO(s) and INGOs, NGOs for issues including operations, staffing, and supplies, volunteer transportation and accommodation, and troubleshooting any potential solutions. Contribute to the positive image and overall credibility of the organization, notably through the application of the organization’s Code of Conduct.

5. Reporting



Prepare quality and timely program progress reports (monthly), and the end of the project reporting. Ensure maintaining databases of country-specific information and documentation of ongoing projects Review in-country financial reports and maintaining all required documentation per organization policy Provide a summary of recommended areas of improvement, areas of success, and leading the execution of an action plan with the Head Office team to evolve and make positive systems improvements where needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS



Fluency in English and Arabic Experience with principles and guidelines of humanitarian program planning and implementation Experience with personnel management including supervision, training, monitoring, and evaluation Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic, high-pressure environment Experiencing with project proposal drafting, budgeting, and reporting methods Experience with computer systems, data records, and related software applications Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational and project coordination skills Maintain flexibility to take on added responsibility when needed. Must have public health or medical background At least 3-5 years of experience, of which 1-2 years should be of NGO experience. Availability for 40 hours of work per week.
