Logistics & Supply Chain Manager – Beirut, Lebanon
Role Summary: The Logistics and Supply Chain Manager plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations. This position requires an in-depth understanding of logistics trends, technologies, and regulations. The holder of this position is responsible for overseeing the shipment process, ensuring compliance with customs requirements, managing necessary documents, and liaising with relevant banks and agents.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Customs Documentation and Compliance • ECD Document Submission: Submit ECD documents to the bank to verify imports into Nigeria and initiate the bidding process for currency conversion.
• Exit Customs Documentation: Coordinate with clearing agents to obtain exit customs documents, ensuring all documents are properly signed and stamped.
• Proforma Preparation: Prepare proformas for bidding purposes and manage documentation carefully.
Customs Processes: Form M, SONCAP, PAAR, ATR, BSC
• Bank Coordination: Liaise with the Nigerian bank for customs clearance, ensuring all documentation meets requirements.
• Shipping Document Management: Oversee documents, including SONCAP certificates and packing lists, to ensure they comply with Nigerian customs.
• FORM M Process: Manage the issuance of FORM M via the designated online portal.
• PAAR Issuance: Coordinate with the Nigerian bank to ensure the issuance of the Pre-Arrival Assessment Report (PAAR) for customs clearance.
• ATR & BSC Issuance: Insure the issuance of necessary waivers, ATR for EU-Turkey land freight, and BSC (Déclaration d’Importation) for Ivory Coast.
Documentation Management for HS Codes, Invoices, Shipping Docs, and Certifications
• HS Code Adjustments: Ensure HS codes and invoice descriptions align with customs regulations.
• Document Provision for Clearance: Provide clearing agents with all necessary documents, including Bill of Lading, Airway Bill, Certificate of Origin, Certificate of Conformity, EURO 1, and/or other documents where required.
• Conformity Verification: Validate that all documents, including proforma invoices, invoices, HS codes, and package content and descriptions are conformed and consistent with orders.
Chamber of Commerce Certifications
• Certification Access: Access chambers of commerce in Dubai and France for essential document certifications.
Export Documentation and Sales
• Payment Verification: Ensure that payment terms are verified by the accounting department prior to shipment.
• Triangular Sales Management: Initiate and manage triangular sales for export activities.
• Supplier Invoices and Packing Lists: Issue necessary supplier invoices and packing lists with HS codes according to customs requirements.
Cost Estimation and Shipment Clearance
• Landed Cost Calculation: Estimate landed cost ratios and obtain management approval before shipping.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of logistics, procurement, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Analytical and detail-oriented with excellent follow-up abilities.
• Understanding of business and accounting principles related to logistics.
