Junior Accountant

GlobeMed Levant (part of GlobeMed Group), the largest Healthcare Benefits Management Company in the MENA region is looking for a Junior Accountant who will perform standard accounting functions and practices such as journal entries and maintenance, cost analysis, reconciliation, posting, and other related tasks required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Record journal entries and insure proper filing with supporting documents.
• Handle daily bank transactions; prepare bank transfer letters; and work on the bank reconciliation.
• Prepare and deliver checks to suppliers.
• Prepare payment planner and bank movement.
• Conduct proper and periodic reconciliation of accounts (Banks/AP/AR…).
• Handle and manage petty cash transactions.
• Issue monthly and quarterly invoices and prepare billing report of invoices billed to G-Operations.
• Review the travel request form, prepare travel advances and reconcile travel expenses statement.
• Handle a proper and accurate filing for accounting and other related documents.
• Assist in the cost accounting functions and tasks as assigned.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related and other accounting duties as assigned.

Education:

BA Degree in accounting, finance or similar.

Experience/Knowledge:

• 0 to 1 year of experience in Accounting
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, excel, and any other accounting system

Skills/Competencies:

• Ability to meet stringent deadlines
• Ability to prioritize, and follow up on impeding matters.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, French is an asset.
• Understand how and when to escalate issues.
• Organized and well structured.
