International Logistics Officer – Beirut, Lebanon
Role Summary: The International Logistics Officer is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of international logistics activities, ensuring efficient and timely movement of goods across borders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain operations, customs regulations, and international shipping requirements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Logistics Coordination: • Manage the day-to-day logistics operations for international shipments, including the preparation, coordination, and tracking of shipments from origin to destination.
• Liaise with suppliers, vendors, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure smooth and compliant transit of goods.
• Monitor shipment schedules to ensure on-time delivery and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
Customs Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations and customs requirements.
• Prepare and submit necessary customs documentation, including bills of lading, certificates of origin, and import/export permits.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and communicate them to the team as needed.
Inventory & Documentation Management:
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipment details, and logistics costs.
• Update logistics and inventory systems with shipment data and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Organize and maintain files for all logistics transactions and related documents.
Vendor & Supplier Relations:
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate costs, improve service levels, and ensure compliance with delivery terms.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external logistics partners to facilitate efficient shipping operations.
Cost Optimization:
• Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements within the logistics operations.
• Monitor and report on logistics expenses, providing insights and recommendations to optimize costs without compromising quality.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in international logistics, supply chain, or related roles.
• Certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
• Familiarity with incoterms and international trade regulations.
• Knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs compliance, and documentation requirements.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and experience with logistics or ERP systems preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
