Head of Financial Control – Beirut, Lebanon



Role Summary:
The Head of Financial Control will take a leadership role in overseeing and managing the company’s financial control processes. The ideal candidate should have in-depth experience with ERP Microsoft 365, a solid background in a Big 4 accounting firm, and a comprehensive understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards. This role requires strategic oversight, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:



Strategic Financial Oversight: Lead and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring all financial reporting is accurate, timely, and in compliance with GAAP and company policies. Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements, while providing insights to the leadership team on key financial data and trends.
Advanced Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and present comprehensive financial reports to senior management, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure data accuracy and provide analysis for business decision-making.
ERP Systems Leadership: Lead the ongoing management and enhancement of ERP Microsoft 365 for financial reporting and analysis. Ensure optimal system performance, accuracy, and efficiency, while providing strategic recommendations for system improvements. Train and support staff in advanced ERP functionalities.
Regulatory Compliance and Audit: Ensure strict compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Lead the implementation of audit recommendations to enhance the integrity and efficiency of financial control processes.
Leadership and Team Development: Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to the financial control team. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development. Ensure the team is equipped with the skills and knowledge required to perform at the highest level.

Qualifications:



– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
– Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial control, with a proven track record in a leadership role, including experience in a Big 4 accounting firm.
– Proficiency in ERP Microsoft 365 with demonstrated leadership in its application for financial management and reporting.
– Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with SEC reporting requirements.
– Superior organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex priorities and meet critical deadlines.
– Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
– Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills, with a proven ability to mentor and manage high-performing teams.
