The Fleet Supervisor is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the fleet, ensuring efficient transportation services and optimal vehicle utilization. This role involves coordinating maintenance schedules, monitoring fleet performance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Job Description
Supervise the day-to-day operations of the fleet, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services to customers. Monitor fleet performance metrics, including fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and vehicle utilization, to identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement fleet management strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality. Coordinate regular vehicle maintenance and inspections, ensuring all vehicles are in compliance with safety regulations and company standards. Manage relationships with vendors and service providers for vehicle maintenance, repairs, and fuel procurement. Train and mentor drivers and other fleet personnel, promoting a culture of safety and efficiency. Ensure compliance with all local, regional, and national transportation regulations and company policies. Maintain accurate records of fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance logs, fuel consumption reports, and accident reports. Analyze data and prepare reports on fleet performance, presenting findings and recommendations to management. Address and resolve any issues related to fleet operations, including vehicle breakdowns and driver performance concerns.
Job Requirements - Experience and Education
Education: Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, transportation, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or transportation operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role. Experience in the logistics or transportation industry is highly desirable
