Financial Controller – Beirut, Lebanon



Role Summary:
The Financial Controller will oversee the monthly closing process. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience with ERP Microsoft 365, a background in a Big 4 accounting firm, and a comprehensive understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting Channel: Regional Head of Accounting

Main Duties and Responsibilities:



Monthly Closing: Lead and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Prepare, review, and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements. Ensure all financial activities comply with GAAP and company policies.
Financial Reporting: Compile and present comprehensive financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
ERP Management: Utilize ERP Microsoft 365 for financial reporting and detailed analysis. Maintain and enhance ERP systems to improve data efficiency and accuracy. Provide training and support to staff in ERP Microsoft 365 functionalities.
Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements. Implement audit findings and recommendations to strengthen financial controls and processes.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for team members.

Qualifications:



• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial controller or similar role, including experience in a Big 4 accounting firm.
• Proficiency in ERP Microsoft 365, with demonstrated experience in its use for financial management.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with SEC requirements.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing teams.
