About the job Director - Human Resources and Administration

Our client is a prominent company in the fintech industry in Baghdad, Iraq, offering a wide range of consumer and business services, including local and international money transfers, bill payments, companion payment cards, payroll, and aid disbursement. The Human Resources (HR) Director will provide strategic leadership to the executive team, developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with business goals, overseeing all HR operations, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy to support the company's business objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on HR-related matters, including organizational design and workforce planning.
  • Oversee essential HR functions, including payroll, benefits administration, and compliance reporting.
  • Establish and maintain HR policies and procedures in line with company goals and legal requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and industry best practices.
  • Manage the entire employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, professional development, and offboarding.
  • Design and implement talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Enhance employee engagement and satisfaction through targeted initiatives and programs.
  • Manage the HR budget efficiently and optimize the use of resources.
  • Lead and mentor the HR team, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in human resources management.
  • Bachelors degree in human resources management, Business Administration, or a related field (masters degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing successful HR strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws, HR technologies, and best practices.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Relevant certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is a plus.
