ROLE PURPOSE
The program officer will assist the consortium in coordinating projects. The role holder will handle information management related tasks and support the Chief of party in the analysis, monitoring and reporting of operational activities.
CHILD SAFEGUARDING:
Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Consortium data Management
- Ensure program teams are using tested and standardized data collection tools.
- Support staff in data collection as needed, using Save the Children's applications to collect and analyze data.
- Consolidate, validate, and document the data collected by partners, ensuring data privacy and compliance with data protection standards.
- Crosscheck and validate all cash transfer requests from partners and follow up on payment loading and confirmation.
- In coordination with the SCI Information Management team, support, maintain, and strengthen information and data management systems.
- Create regular backups of internal databases to ensure data security and continuity.
- Manage the operational OneDrive, ensuring it is always up to date and partners are informed about the updates.
- Coordinate, compile, review, and follow up on the Activity Tracker and tools mapping.
- Support the MEAL Specialist with information management (IM) planning and activities as needed.
- Conduct field monitoring visits when required and complete the Quality Benchmarks with MEAL officers.
- Lead the preparation of program presentations for both external and internal use.
Consortium program support
- Collect and review monthly planning tools from partners, analyze them, and present findings at the monthly Steering Committee meeting.
- Identify areas for improvement within the reporting spectrum and establish practical, consistent tools for coordinating reporting efforts among partners. Support the creation of harmonized project management and tracking tools in coordination with the Chief of Party (CoP) and MEAL Specialist.
- Compile, validate, and collect feedback on periodic reports, including monthly, quarterly, and yearly narrative reports.
- Support donor or member reporting requirements, ensuring reports meet donor expectations and compliance standards.
- In coordination with partners and SCI offices, prepare project information templates for high-level visitors and donors. Support donor visit preparation.
- Attend internal and external meetings as required, lead on minute-taking, and follow up on action item implementation and progress.
- Support the MEAL Specialist in learning initiatives' preparation, implementation, and reporting.
- Assist the MEAL Specialist with IPTT consolidation and project target updates.
- Follow up with technical leads on the development of tools and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Support the Chief of Party in capacity-building planning, implementation, and reporting, including delivering inductions and/or trainings as needed.
- Support in responding to periodic donor and internal requests for additional information on project activities.
- Raise consortium-related procurement requests as needed.
- Update consortium contact lists regularly.
Partnership
- Access the sub-award tracking system and ensure that partners' reports are uploaded and up to date.
- Support the implementation of the Capacity Development Plan (CDP) with partners in the field, in coordination with the Chief of Party (CoP) and partners.
- Contribute to the implementation of the Organizational Capacity Development (OCD) plan, aligning with the CDP and in close collaboration with the partnership department at the country office.
- Deliver training and coaching sessions to partners' teams based on identified needs and capacity gaps.
- Provide timely updates to the partnership department and Awards Management and Business Development (AMBD) team on partner agreements, amendments, and related requirements.
Advocacy, Campaigns, Communications and Media
- Support and coordinate with consortium partners on gathering information and content as necessary for external or internal communications work, including conducting content gathering visits to project activities/events, to collect high quality case studies, photos, etc.
- Work with the ACCM team to identify potential media moments.
- Liaise with the ACCM team to ensure sign off, following specific guidelines, including Child Safeguarding, on all SCI materials for internal/external use.
- Support the ACCM team to ensure that the branding and communication guidelines and consistently followed among partners
- Support the ACCM team on the delivery of high-quality communication materials for the consortium, including handouts, factsheets, reports, newsletters, and infographics.
General
- Comply with Save the Children policies and practice with respect to child protection, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.
- Perform other responsibilities as agreed with line management.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Essential technical competencies
- At least two years of prior professional experience in a similar role, program coordination, or relevant positions, ideally within an international or local organization.
- Ability to write weekly and monthly reports
- Computer knowledge (proficient in word, PowerPoint and excel and development of graphics)
Essential behavioral competencies
- Ability to take initiative where appropriate to deal with difficulties encountered in daily work
- Excellent contact and diplomacy to manage relationship in tensed situation

Desirable experience
- Experience in programming for large scale humanitarian emergencies
- Experience in working with partners or in partnership
- Experience working in development, humanitarian, or community-based projects.
