The Senior Accountant role in the Heavy Industry & Metallurgy sector is pivotal for maintaining financial integrity and compliance within the organization. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in accounting practices, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. The Senior Accountant will oversee the financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting while providing strategic insights to management. Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  2. Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
  3. Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and resolution of discrepancies.
  4. Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  5. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  6. Monitor cash flow and prepare cash forecasts to support business operations.
  7. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights on financial performance.
  8. Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and prepare necessary tax filings.
  9. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  10. Utilize accounting software and ERP systems to streamline financial processes and reporting.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the heavy industry sector.
  2. Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards.
  3. Experience in VAT
  4. Experience in Auditing
  5. PIMS2 program experience is a plus
  6. Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems.
  7. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  10. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.
  11. Proven leadership skills and experience in team management.
  12. Adaptability to changing business environments and processes.
  13. Strong ethical standards and integrity in financial reporting.
